does anybody know where the cheapest place to buy a spool,mini spool would be,im in mission

nothing cheap? ill try to convince my friend to just let me weld it up then

just weld it, preheat and use the mig with the volts cranked or stick weld it with 7018 rods preheat as well. Just did mine and i think my axle shafts will snap before any of the welds. But if it does eventually break, then buy a spool...

ya mine are welded up and iv had no problems but he just does not think it is a good idea

well then weld it, and if it breaks, then buy a spool but if it's welded properly and your not running 800 horsepower, theres nothing wrong with a welded carrier IMO

I don't know where in mission would be cheapest but i do know that i priced out a spool for my 8.8 and it was 154.00.

Not sure of the exact name but it was from Performance Specialties?(sp)
In Langley across the parking lot from A+B Transmission.

Thats not some special discount or wholesale price either..thats just some regular schmoe(Me) walkin in and askin for a price while buyin ring gear bolts for 8.8.

my 14 bolt is welded and i'm replacing it with a welded eaton that has seen 1200 horsepower and is still good to go
