Kinda a newbie question...oh, I am!! :happy0045: ... with the shocks I have there is 8 inches of movement, with the lower mounts welded to the axle housing I ended up with 3.5" up movement before the shocks bottom out. From the top of the plates I made for the Ubolt flip to the stock bumpstop is 3.75 inches. I should set it up so the bumpstops hit the plates a bit before the shocks bottom out, say add a 1/2" to my bumpstops? Thanks [cheers]

yeah it will save the shock mounts, and the shocks from compressing too much, which could break the mounts(or bend,, or depending how they are mounted tear your frame, speaking from experience) and could wreck the shocks

Thanks guys, it kinda figured but I wanted to know for sure, I'll just fab up some spacers for behind the stock bump stops at work tonight and be good to go. [cheers]

Or you could run bigger tires and use the fender instead :D
