a buddy of mine has a wagoneer front axle, the diffs on the right side and it would get rid of any briff. gear problems,(i think). i havnt looked into it that much yet to see if i could bolt up the drive shaft the same as the toy. but im not knowing and thats why im asking:dontknow: any help would be great or even some help on what to look for if it will work.

i thought wagoneer diffs were driveside drop...... thats why people swap them into yj's. I highly doubt the driveshaft flanges would be the same. so some modifacations would be needed there. best advice is to go there and look and measure a bunch of things and see. with the right amount of $$$ anything is possible.

Hey an easier idea would be to just put a SFA out of a toyota. I have a 83' front axle that im puting into my 86' Yota during the summer. Anyone have any suggesitons on doing it? I plan on buying the big country customs SAS kit, and bringing the axle and front driveshaft to Alsek Ind. to get it put in

best bet would be the trail gear kit from BCC cheapest around thats for sure

i think it be cheaper to go with the waggy diff eric the deal ur gettin on it look how much it cost me to build up my yota diffs and i still break

Jeep stuff is way cheaper in any situation, and a wagoneer diff is a fullsize diff isn't it? Meaning it's gonna be stronger than anything Toyota made?

i see my buddy kyles on here now, the only prob now is taking the truck off the road for a weekend to do the swap. i dont think i can go that long without it haha.

is it a d44?

I know that the cromo axels for a d44 are a shit load cheaper than longs

from what i can see the only prob. will be the steering, other then that its just changeing the gears.

it's toyota width ish not fullsize... and it's a 44....

it would be a good option if you dont want to deal with birfs etc...

the trailgear kit might not work.... you would have to make your own front hanger...

and the flange might be something you can buy.....

i sold my waggy 44 a year or so ago... but it was my plan until i came across a cheap toy one...

but at the end of the day... it's your truck do what ever you want to do... not what someone else tell's you is better...
