i had a 88 chev 1/2 ton with a 4.3l and i bought a 88 chev 3/4 ton that need a motor and some other things that were still good from the 1/2 i did the motor swap over the week end last night i finished the swap and drove the truck home got half way home and over heated i had a code 9 (dose anyone know what that means) when i started and now it will not start no water in oil has spark and fuel :confused0006:

i try starting thatit again and now the rad is presureising when it cranks over the oil smells carbie

if its blown head gasket how big or long of a job is that? i guess there is no garuntee that nothing else is broken until its taken apart

its not too hard of a job ,just have to tear the top end apart,replace the gaskets and put it back together,if it has aluminum heads you might want to get them decked and presure checked[cheers]

i am not sure is they are aluminum they are stock
