from what i have read it doesnt work well for our terrain. aparently it gets to wet muddy sandy and shit and turns to crap.
i think its more of a dry climate thing

ANYWAYS, I heard it's not good in are terrain can tear very easily on the trees and doesn't do well in mud. It's supposted to be way better down south Moab etc I know one of Mikeys freinds had a line almost brand new and he broke it at the mainland cup last year.

Now thats alot of coin $375 PLUS TAX FOR THE NORMAL 125ft better off to go with cable

seeing as the stuff is used for pimpline on ocean going tugs I doubt the water thing is true.
I have broken a few cables.
the cost is the only issue I see with the rope. bling bling.
I just hate the wickers in cable.

synthetic line floats. cable doesn't. Other than that i've heard the same as stated above

mikeys buddy's line failed due to a problem with manufacturing, not cuz it was weak.

the syn line is weak for abrasion. mud, sand, silt, etc will work its way inside the rope and cause it to wear out quickly. it is also alot thicker so you can't get alot on your drum. the cost is also quite high.

nice thing is it stores very little energy so if it does break, it will fall. also when it does break, you can braid them back together in a certain way. also nice and light and won't stab you like the steel cables.

personally, its not worth it for here.

as for where you can get it, i got nothing to help there.

it's more the mud that fucks it up not the water is self
