I bought some 39.5 Iroks to replace them :)
there is a screaming ebay deal on some 12r20xls that I am seriously considering

dont get me wrong, my 37'' iroks are nice but two things i dont like: on a 16.5 rim and they are pretty damn soft, this truck will see 60% DD and 40% wheeling once shes all done up and ready.

"are they available somewhere again?" i was asking you.

the story I heard was the war forces them to be off the market
but there is a guy on ebay selling some new tires in georgia

Don had a bunch of XZLs a while back which is why you see them around, slightly milder tread then the XLs but same size
the Kodiak guy has them on his 6x6 Ford
funny to see him again as when I was first looking for XLs in 97 I chased him down in my Semi and he had a pallet of XLs but wouldnt sell me any :)
I think he has a stack of XZLs now that he wont sell

they are a great tire, or would be if you could buy the damn things.
I hate rare

expensive, heavy, look cool, not so good on ice good ,on road ride good ,don't know if there noisey can't hear anyting over the roar of the mighty 2.2l .i keep them a 50 psi in a futile atempt at better mpg

20km/h max at 250 kPa

these are the tires that the US military uses on their heavy equipment (well at least the ones that i've see on TV footage.
