Hey i got a 94 f150 with a brand new rebuilt 4.9 in it and i get like 260 km a tank and it is about a 49 litre tank. I went on the net and used a gas milage calculator and it says about 18.8km/100L which is pretty shity. My dad had the same truck but 2 wheel drive and he said he got way better milage then that. Anyone got any ideas on what makes me have shity gas milage? :confused0006:

do you use the gas pedal like an On / Off switch?

Have you tried checking the air filter, fuel filter, My bronco likes to drink gas when those get dirty, my milage almost gets cut in half. Also are you only driving it around town? because that will kill your miliage there to, speeding up and slowing down all the time, I only get 200-300 km to a tank(100L) sometimes when im only doing short 3-4 km trips back and forth to work 2 or 3 times a day.

my 92 f150 only gets about 100 - 150 km to a 60 L tank for in town driving and about 250 -300 if it is all freeway. but is is also a 5.8l and is on 33's.

My Bronco gets 18-21 MPG, usually between 100-140km/h on the highway(in alberta) and about 17-19 doin the same speeds in BC on highway/freeway

My hubby's bronco gets 250km on an 80 litre tank, you're not doing too bad to get that on a 49 litre tank. I'd say you're getting pretty decent mileage

Really what is shitty.

With the price of gas, nothing is good.

I had a '88 4-Runner (4 cyl, 31's) last year, spent $4K on a rebuild, got 12 MPG.

Sold it & bought my Bronco (351, 35's) & get 15 MPG.

I also have a '85 , F350 crew cab, 4x4, 460 on propane, 35's & get 10 MPG, but propane is less than 1/2 price of gas, so it's cheaper to drive than my Bronco.

Nothing gets great mileage, I had a '95 Power Stroke that got 12 MPG.

My dad gets better milage out of his Dodge 1 ton crew cab 4x4 dually than his Chev. Tracker 4 cyl.

260 km's on 49 l=18 ????? 260km on 49 is more like 5 k's per l. It's actually 5.3 if you want to be picky.20 km per gallon or 12 miles.
