View Full Version : inline 6 exhaust

right now, running off my second cat, I have a 2.5 inch pipe coming out infront of the back right tire. It sounds like a damn tractor, and I never really liked the sound of it, but never had a reason to change it up. Today my cat cracked off at the end, and my pipe fell off and bent. So now I have a reason to get an exhaust system, what do you guys think? I want to be quieter than a straight pipe, but still have a nice sound, and I want to keep the exhaust coming out infront of the rear tire. Once again, I have a 300 six in my 95 f150
thanks.. [36]

I had a 2" pipe on my 300 until I put the 302 in, with a Magnaflow muffler. it sounded nice at the pipe, but inside it still sounded like a tractor.

Get creative find a 6 into 2 header(Clifford reasearch),run a balancer between them and run true duals with the cats and some 3 chamber flowmasters.
I had a similar set up on my slant 6 Aspen it sounded good .

mine was cammed and bored to fuck with the clifford alum intake. 4bbrl.

i just used my stock dual manis of of a fi motor. got carline to put them to a 3 inch caollector and then a 2.5 with a cherry bomb. no cats cheap n simple. sounded like a big v8 when it was idling, but like an old straighr 8 ferrari when it was around 4500rpm[36]
