My less than a year old Mr. Gasket fuel pump pooched out on me a couple weeks ago, I finally got a replacement today, and got it running for the first time in a month.

i havent had any probs with my 25 yr old fuel pump yet, not really looking forward to replacing it either, cause its gonna fuck up right when i need the truck most. I guess Mr. Gasket is out of the question, any other recommended brands?

I had good luck with a Carter P5001 (GM TBI), and am currently running an Edelbrock 3594 (Jeep 4.0 HO)... although it has a Walbro part# stamped in it....:dontknow:

I had to put an electric fuel pump in because Fuel injected 302 doesn't have the nessiary holes for a mechanical fuel pump. The Mr Gasket one was cheap and thats what I was looking for.

I think Edelbrock makes a good one, I might try that one next when I have some cash.

You cannot use a mechanical fuel pump on EFI.
It does not provide pressure required, that is why the block does not have the mount for it.

Yeah, but I forgot to mention I swapped an efi 302 from my 88 parts truck to carburator when I put it in my Bronco.
