[cheers] i dont think your toy tranny will work:dontknow: but your transfer case will, you will need to get a adapter kit and i think there about 300 or 400bucks

there is an adapter for 350 to toy tranny but its cheeper to go all chevy cuz if u go with the tranny adapter u got to get a special flywheel and cluch and all tht BS advanceadapters.com the got everything u need to no

don't do it man, put all the drive train in your runner it'll be way lighter and it isnt that hard to keep the 350 cool in they're engine compartment all you need is a 4 core rad with dual electric fans and your set, so i've been told, i havent tried it yet but i'm almost there. i'm in the hurry up and wait mode.

for all those doing swaps, puting carb'd motors into EFI trucks. to disable fuel pump, and keep check engine light off. pull out the efi fuse in the fuse box by the drivers kick panel. Done it lots. works good. and if you ever swap back to efi, just gotta plug the fuse back in.

me and my brother put a 4.3 into his 82 toyota, we bought a truck with it already done, well a slap happy job, and we put it in his, all done right, pretty easy, used the 4.3 and a turbo 350 trans, and then apator, i donno what kind it is, oh, and speical headers.... its a sick truck, edelbrock everything, nice and fancy under the hood, b&m shifter, and tranny do-dads oh, and a custom made rad with dual fans...we used a short water pump and what not, only because to keep everything in the same spot ei, transfer case, then motor sits way forward...so pretty much, if you moved it back, it would give you tons of room, cuz right now, its kinda like have a 350 in there...so yes its pretty easy to put a 4.3 in..[36] [36]

Don't make a gay 4runner, put your motor in if you want big power and if you have v6 thirds they should handle it, if not up grade the inners.

Its cheaper to run all chevy stuff, make a cross member and get some shafts made.
I did the advance adapter kit in one of my toys.....bell housing, new pressure plate, center force clutch, hyraulic clutch set up,motor mounts,4 core rad, short water pump, then all the exhaust..
If i had to do it again i would do the chevy stuff.

you'll lose your cheap dual case and gearing options with all chevy gear.

My brother runs a 4.3 t350 and dual toy tcases. Fit nicely in a fullbody'd toyota

Ive got a chevy 3/4 ton with a toyota lancruiser body,
the guy who had it done, his wife was going to leave him if he didnt sell the truck. called it a moneypit. I think it'd be cool to do your 4runner, but its not cheap. or easy.

ive dicided that im gonna use the 4.3, im gonna re-build it and get an adapter for a toy tranny i would use the chev tranny but it is needed for my dads 2500 pick up, as for the jimmy its going to another project...[32]
