Anyone got a link to how to do this or like a raising gas tanks for dummies tutorial? My gas tank has only one strap (89). Everything I could find is for CJ's or newer Jeepses. Thanks :)

I think England stood there while Nutbar did the work, so maybe ask Nutbar.

How much do you want to raise it ?

If you're doing 3" then mount the tank on top of the rear cross member and then you'll have to fab up a new cross member for the front side. This would be a good time to relocate your shock mounts aswell (longer shocks for more travel)

Shouldn't be to hard for you Bakelite [f]

I made a new skid plate for my YJ (95) that replaces that 16ga tinfoil one that comes stock with the YJ. Gives me 2" extra clearance. PM me I might be able to help you out. The plate below is made from 10GA Satin Coat.

Just thinking here, is the physical size of the tank the same? If so might be able to mod my design. I have an extra one of these plates in black. We would have to check mounting holes and such. hmm.
