No. I got another cab which needs to be cut apart, so the mods I want to do to it makes more sence to cut the other one up. This whole truck is being built out of spare parts and leftovers with a few trades to finish it off. In other words, I haven't spent more than $20 on it yet. I'm getting some doors on monday for a case of beer, so I gues I'll be doubling my investment at that point.

A bit of the work from today. Got the frontback on. Started rewiring and getting the u-joints done. The rad saddle will work, now to pop out the lights ect. and finish welding it and reinforcing it.

why u going so big bl.. just to fit the tires?

FU Toolbag
03-25-2007, 09:06 PM
It's actually not tha big. When it was sitting on all four, the doorsill is at a 35-36". I can rest my chin on the hood. It's not very tall at all concidering it's on 44's. I like the idea of keeping the c.of g. lower. With a 96" wide track, stability won't be a problem.

Might be ready for this weekend, but I don't think I want to do anything big with it. I'm hoping to be out for easter. I know boyzen wants to do something for easter. We might both do something easy this weekend, just to try em out. I would hate to go out with a big group and be the one tha holds everyone up cause of something stupid I've overlooked.

Today I got the u-joint's changed for the front and picked up the new doors. Should have the front clip finished welded tommorow with the neccisary gusseting done. Then I can finish the cab interior.

I think I'll leave the box alone for now and just through a flatdeck on it, yes I have a spare or 2 kickin around.

Was hoping to take her out tommorow, but that ain't gonna happen. She'll still be ready for the long weekend

My new badges are gonna be picked up this week. Custom milled "F.U.250".

We have most of an interiour now. The back seats came out of the f250. The front's came out of a exploder. I'ld like to get another set of those exploder seats in the same colour if anyone knows of some.

48517

48518

Any thoughts on this idea? I have the room.

48519

Doors back on and lined up. I hate bodywork

48520

A shot of my new rear body mount

48521

Now this one shocked the hell out of me.

I was told it could be done,

I called the guy a liar.

I was wrong.

It gave me wood.

And it's so dam easy, why doesn't everyone do this

I'm gonna pull the pin and clock it up one hole. I'm liking the idea of cuttin the whole chain section off, but that might be later.

Yeah, power at the ranch burnt in the fire. I''ve rebuilt the back of the chev now to pull a trailer with a good stumppuller and I'm brining her down in a couple hours. I don't have much left to do to it right now, but having no power sucks ass.

What's left.....
redrill the mounts forfront of the rear springs
make 3 crossmembers
lift the motor 3-4 inches
install a complete propane system
rebuild the exaust
complete the trwin tcas addapter
reinstall the interior
rotate the rear axle and build new mounts
build a front driveshaft with steadybearing
relocate all 4 shocks
build a front bumper with winch mount
build a rear deck or box, or just slap a sheet of plywood on it
Build flairs for the front that cover 11"of rubber.

And of course,
install stero

Less than a week. No problem

no more pix cause I ain't done nothing on it for a couple months now.Way too many things on my plate right now. It hasn't been abbandoned or anything, just sidestepped for now. It's still one of my prefered thoughts while at work. As it sits, the axles are going to be swaped out for a dodge set, primarely for gearing problems, and with the fu700 being built, I'll be able to tow it easier that I originally planned.

back from your self imposed exile??

This one's ass is very light actually, it's the other one's ass that weighs alot, actually over a ton for just the deck.
