i heard that if i flush my junk with ford type f fluid it will make my tranny shift harder, like adding a shift kit, is this trua and has anyone had any experience doin this and will it fuck anything up?

The chemical makup is different, that what makes it type f. Not many ford trannys need the f, and a lot have been rebuilt to not need the f. It'll mess your seals up. It might make it shift better for a while, at least untill it eats your seals out. it also has a different viscosity for yourclutches which will slip or grab, depending on which way you go.

its a turbo 350 and i have another one for a spare, also heard any shift kit also says ibn dirrections to flush with type f

hmm, well two other techs at work are tellin me to do it, theyve both done it in there time, type f is supposed to create mor friction in the clutches , wher as if you were to put dexron/mercon in a tranny which requires type f will slip

well i have a case of it and a filter kit sittin under the bench with my flowmasters and plannin on servicing the tranny this weekend

i asked before i ordered the case, and wanted to hear other peoples experiences if anyone has ran it
