Ive heard those are a major fuckin PITA to reseal the knuckles because the seals are no longer produced. Low pinion too I believe.

ya your better off to get a hi pinion dana 44 out of a 78 or 79 f250 than keep that one. Tons more parts available for the HP dana 44, or if your lucky find yourself a hi pinion dana 60 from a 77-79 f250/350

I don't get it... everybody and their dog swaps discs on their rear axles, but nobody can figure out a disc swap on the front? :dontknow:

Mine is the 76 open nuckle heavey duty and its super tough 38.5 boggers going mad tough but not good for anything bigger.

closed d 60 by looks 8 bolt knuckle does look like d44 tho
