i'm just lookin for a little feed back, i'm putting a 350 with a t350 with a 208 in my 83 toy with stock 4cyl diffs welded. should i put in the 6cyl. rear,or do ya think that the 4cyl. 410 rear will hold up to the 350. i dont really do much with the truck except the mud drags, so the diffs aren't really getting shocked with power cause their already preloaded before takeoff, do ya think the rear will still hold up...

Depends on tire choice and how much traction you get!

I would put money on that 4cyl 3rd blowing up. Good friend of mine on the board here had a 4.3L in his a he must have gone through 4 3rds in a year. He was running 36" swampers. I run a v6 3rd and have never had a poblem. (4cyl though with 37"). If you have the availability of the v6, why take the chance.

well i got 3 more thirds sitting in the garage so i guess i'll see how it goes this season and take it from there, i've been running the same set for about 3 or 4 years now with 35's & 38's welded and they've lasted this long so hopefully thats a good sign, but i can get a v6 one from a buddy for next to nothing so i don't know i might just change it.

if you plan on using the 4cylinder third, make sure you got a good anti wrap bar. If you can get the v6 third cheap..... weld it or buy a good locker for it and not worry about it anymore.
