I want to replace my muffler cause it sounds like ass.

My truck has a 22r.

Any suggestions? I was thinking of a flowmaster 40, but they're quite pricy. I thought about a glasspack, but they're pretty loud and sound pretty bad on a 4 banger.

I heard that there's sort of a knockoff of flowmaster, flo pro, anyone ever heard of them?

2-1/4" flowmaster 40 series will be perfect, about $70

flow master 50 sounds kickass with a 2-1/4" or 2" but without a cat it's really fuckin loud, cops will hear ya for miles although i guess it might depend on if you got a header and if the motor is done, mine was, still it sounded really good

Haha, I had a few interesting moments. I had one follow me for a few blocks, needless to say, I was VERY light on the gas. Ahh, good times.

borla with 2 1/4 pipes, a borla pro xs is about 150$ from mopac but they are made out of stainless so they last a long time

I ran a short system on my 83 22r. dumped before the rear wheel with a thrush baffled muffler. reasonably quite in traffic unless you were holding it wide open. Sounded ok, if you like the sound of a 4cyl that is.

i had a glasspack on my jetta, with duels...it was insane loud, then i put a dynomax super turbo part # 17762 on it, sounded really nice....its about 65ish dollars, but if you want cheap in price, and a decent sound, raptors...there cheap 20 bucks or something, and sound decent with a 22r

My uncle has a 90s pickup with the 3.0L in it with a flowmaster, it sounds great. I can only hope for somewhat similar results.

I'd like a throaty sound, but I'm not sure how realistic that is with the 22r.

Who sells the raptor mufflers around here?

got a 40 series on my 22r-e idle sounds good butwhen you shift at high rpm
the engine revs coming down quickly sound ricey but i also have no cat.

the problem with the cherry bomb turbo mufflers is they are quiet and have a decent sound when they are new but wen they are burnt out you can here them a long ways away, i had one on my pickup with a tri y header and my neighbors complained about it and said they could hear me leave the gas station about 6 blocks away, farther when i put my foot down

So it looks like I'll be buying a new muffler pretty quick, I just blew the inlet tube right out of the muffler.[15]

Must be all that horsepower the 22r makes.:dontknow:

Does anyone know of a place that would have somthing decent in stock in Kelowna? I don't think my ghetto exaust repair I did is going to last very long.

I don't want to buy an expensive muffler or anything, I just about bought a cherry bomb turbo muffler. But decided not too.

I run a glaspack on my ftoy... used to have a cherrybomb turbo on the old one.

I have a Thorley header and 2" exhaust sounds fine.

Long time ago on an old rig I paid for the fancy thorley header and full flow super exhaust setup and it didn't sound any better.
