View Full Version : Story of a tow truck driver

Last night I was at work (BCAA) and I recieved a call from a third party worried about a family up a logging road in Harrison. She thought a truck was headed out but we hadn't heard anything, and our contractor Modern Tire hadn't earlier. So Modern Tire decides to look for the people (they know its a pathfinder) and they head up 1.5 hrs later or so, to find them.

The Modern Tire driver gets there and hooks up the veh. Finds a 3 year old up there with the family! So he heads back, the family decides to wait (truck can sit 1 or 2 most) I don't know what they were waiting for I'd say send the kid back with the tow driver, but whatever:dontknow:

On the way back down, the road washes out in front of the tow driver, he leaves his tow truck and the pathfinder on the logging road and wades accross a massive stream (or small river). He was gone for over 2 hours without radio so another tow truck heads up to see whats going on and he sees the first driver walking back to the road!

well, long story short, the tow truck and the pathfinder were left there and search and rescue was sent out for the family.

All I know is there were 2 pathfinders, one was newer, the driver started one then towed the other. All 3 vehicles started heading down the mountain when the road washed out in front.

The driver went on to get help, and the working pathfinder taxied people back to shelter. I'm not clear on where it was exactly. The search and rescue went out today and I don't know how the tow truck and other pathfinder are getting back:confused0006:
