could be an itake gasket but it is probably a frost plug
if you can access it at all to get it out just put a rubber expantion one back in

do they just blow right out, or would I still need to pull somthing out of the spot

when it pops it does just that and falls out..it should be on the ground or in the bellhoseing...if its the plug at the verry back of the block u will have to pull the tranny...but make sure its not the frost plug in the head at the verry back....and yes the rubber ones are the way to go if its a tight area to work in...good luck

I pulled of the guard on the bell housing and nothing fell out .. and when I poor anti freeze in the rad it still comes out above where I can see up behind the motor..
they often rust out on older stuff
you will be pulling the trans or motor to replace them

ahhh the old navistars, is it coming from the rear center of the engine or on the sides? if its on the sides its probably a frost plug in the head but if its from the center, it could be the intake gasket which would be a lot of work. Ohhh and make sure if you do have to pull the intake look up on how to time the fuel pump as it is a timely process to do so, and removing the manifold means having to pull of the pump.

would it be a possibility of cracking the block.. I always thought that when a block is cracked fluid doesn't poor out as quick as it is, as I poor it in the rad and it comes out the back as fast as I can poor.
