Well I am new to 4x4's and just got a 93 2dr 4Runner 5spd v6. I am looking at getting into some 4x4ing (nothing crazy) mainly old loging roads and back country camping. The 4runner is mostly stock, Asin manual hubs and 1" lift.

I have gone over the truck now and fixed all the things that needed attention. Were do I go from here? I have got some steel 15x8 wheels and hope to get some 33x12.5x15 tires and a bit more lift.

The main thing right now is getting out with it as is and lerning how to 4x4 safe. I have all the recovery straps and a friend that has experience and a truck.

Mainly just wanted to say Hi and see what you think I should do first to make it more trail ready.

Thanks,

Thanks guys, I will not be going anywere with out another truck. I belive the first mods will be bumpers front and rear (rear one is rusty) as well as rock sliders.

I hope to meet some of you guys on the trail at some point. I will keep my eyes on the meet area.

Thanks,

Remember, its not how much you spend ON your truck, it matters how much time you spend IN your truck. Get out and have fun! By the way, great choice picking a Toyota!!!

not a bad idea. important to have good tow points front and back, and the rocker bars will save on the carnage

I would not have done it any other way, I am a Toyota guy all round. I have been building my other Toyota overthe last 5 years. Most of the work has been done by myself and the help of some skilled friends.
