Sounds like you got a bad ground somewhere try putting in and extra ground . the one from the engine to the body is always one that gets bad [cheers]

Taillights don't ground to the frame, it's either the body or the wiring harness. Most batteries have a ground directly to the body. I'll check on his truck later but I can promise engine to frame grounds won't help him here, especially since it's FI...the thing would run the shits if it wasn't grounded. There are a lot of things it could be. His lights have a checkered past as is. Manual blinkers...

Swamp donkey, Fords in general are headaches...

The ground for your tail lights is in behind them, youll have to pull the tail lights out, The ground just screws into the body. But if its not the ground you could have a bad switch.

head light switch would be a good start

We see it all the time in the shop on fords... I agree with the people who've already said it!! (And they're cheap from Lordco or NAPA)

Do a whole whack of toggle switches and wrie them all up with merrets and electrical tape

Or replace the headlight switch and or blinker relays and use a multimeter to check for a good ground at the bulbs

hey the easiest way to find the problem is use a test light put the clamp on a clean area on the body or frame and check for power in the middle of the light socket if the is power and your bulbs are good then it is a ground problem if there is no power then it is either the fuse or the switch as someone else has mentioned. make sure to check the fuse with a test light as even i have been fooled before
