I've heard of people doin it and I think advance adapters makes an adapter to do it

Do a search and you'll get tons of info on the 1.9 VW swap (Pirate4x4.com, Calimini, Spidertrax)....

Cool swap, been thinkin about it for a while myself :confused0006:

tuner inside on the board is in tight with acme. he's got a 1.6 turbo in his kick.

i don't recomend the 1.6T for the sammi trans, it is marginal for that engine. that being said if you are easy on it you can get kick ass numbers for milage, and make parts last IF you don't play with the pump.

the rad is a bit of an issue, you need to either do some plumbing, or get a different rad in there cuz the inlet/outlet are backwards. the throttle cable is a bit of an issue i think.. can't remember.

clutch flywheel etc... all stock, but recomended to upgrade to a centerforce or hd replacement.

if you're into mud.. don't get the turbo. turbo + water = crack. diesel + revs = hot engine.

hmm...this got me thinkin, i can pick up a 92 kicker with no engine and tranny for 150 bucks, a girl i know just totalled her turbo diesel jetta....theres my engine, i have a 22R tranny, hm....oh, and i have a toyota transfer case and axles....that could make for a wicked ride....i was on the acme adapters site, pretty neat stuff on there....[36]
