THE 8 STUD TTB COMMONLY REFERED TO AS A d50

ARE TYPICALLY LEAF SPRUNG .......BUT ONE COULD ADAPT FOR COILS.
AS FOR THE kNUCKLE SWAP GIVE IT A GO...
I DO BELIEVE U WILL HAVE TO RUN THE 3/4 TONNE BRAKES ROTOR AND OUTERS AS WELL.

BE EASIER TO JUST SWAP IN A D50 TTB

they make 8stud ttb in d50 and d44 in the leaf sprung version the light 3/4 tonne have the d44 and the heavy 3/4 and 1 tonne have the d50 ,just not sure if the knuckles will fit and ya ill probably have to use the 3/4 tonne bracks, hubs and rotors

TTB 44 & TTB 50 parts are not interchangeable. If you want to use a 8 bolt front , use GM 8 bolt D44 pieces.

go to www.fullsizebronco.com & do a search. There is a thread that tells you all the parts & how to do it.

The only leaf sprung D44 Ford used was in the '77 to '79 F150 Super Cab 4x4

never new they had the cheap o d44 with8 bolt outers in the ttb

if this is true then why could you not swap knuckles from the d 50 to the d44 if it already had a 8 lug hub?if it is 8 lug then it should be running the bigger brakes as well same as the d50 so both being ttb with the same brakes should be using the same knuckle ?
the only difference i can think of would be spindle and hub size......

i have both here d50 ttb
and d44 ttb
and lp 78 d44 8 lug
and 88 hp d60 kp
im going to run the d50 ttb in my bII on coils
using my 78 d44 8lug outers hubs and spindles .bolt right to the Knuckles& brakes from the d50 d50 inner shafts and d44 stubs = bII frontend bullet proof .
rotors, calipers from the 78 are for my d60

and why would any one want to contaminate their ford with chevy parts?

im not totally sure but i think the d50 has dirrerent axel lenghts and like u said the hub and spindle size are totally different as well as the third member size , i remember tom from TLE had some d50 and d44 pieces on his front end

on the stranger ranger
it was straight d44 with 8 lug outers....
hence it breaking all the time ball joints and stubs... dont mix with 44" boggers

learned a lot from him helped him a lot to..

they are different length but im swapping the entire d50 ttb in with just the 78 hubs and spindles this is why i will need to run the d44 stubs or broach my pucks to attcept the d50 shft.
