View Full Version : Clutch in an 86 Ranger...

Ok, I am out of town working on a friends 86 Ford Ranger 2wd. Yeh, soposed to be an easy clutch... Well, How the hell do you get the slave cylander out of the tranny? pulled the pin allready but I cant get the slave out of the tranny... What am I doing wrong and how do I get it out? :dontknow:

Well, Thanx for any help. Going to beat on it more and will be back here to check and see if someone can help me with this POS. :confused0006:

is there not 2 little bolts that hold it in can't really remember for sure have not done one in 10 or so years but the full size has 2 bolts.

Got it! In the end I had it all right. Just needed to pull the line out of the slave after removing the clip that held it in. Which I had done just needed to pull the line harder. After hitting it afew times it fell out. Silly Ford... lol
