that is awsome, plus its a powerstroke. I say that guy and his hummer, when its done, should be featured on one of the powerblock shows.

Bizarre...a guy in high school back in the day built something kind of Hummer-ish and put it on a (IIRC) Bronco frame with a 2bbl 400. The idea of doing a custom body the way you want is pretty sweet IMO, but if this guy wants a Hummer I don't understand why he wouldn't go buy one. This project will probably cost almost as much, and be inferior in every way.

He's building because he can....same reason I'm Not building one...althought I'm not sure about the f150 part that seems a little soft...But I betcha he finishes it for half the cost of a new hummer...he hasn't broke the banck on the engine or wheels, and he's doin all the work so if he's got a fare deal on metal he could be alright.

Its a project. Y does anybody customize their trucks themselves instead of paying someone else to do it? Its the fun in doing somthing yourself. I'd say he's done a pretty damn good job. Whether it meets all the specs people think it should is a differnt story, he built a truck exactly the way he wanted it.

its an F150 frame, its 99.9% the same as the frame in my F350 powerstroke. I took the time and read the whole thread a while back, cant remember much of the details tho. But I know hes got a powerstroke out of a van in it, and hes running a coil sprung D50 TTB front end, same used in F250 diesels, and a sterling 10.25 rear.
His reason for building it instead of buying it, aside from the cool factor, was the cost, somewhere right around half of what it would cost to buy a real H1 was his estimate.
Its built, not bought...which makes it better then ANY other hummer out there. Definately cool in my books, even if he is from Quebec.

no it wasnt him, I saw that too. It was some douche with the urban gorilla kit building it on a chev chassis. Those are all prefabbed pieces. This guy on FSB actually learned to weld first so he could fab up his own body from scratch. Which makes it even cooler!

I saw the guys hummer youre referring to on the powerblock section called viewers videos or something, and the fact they aired him inspired me to go send powerblock an email about this guy.
