Westwood Ridges, Nanaimo, BC.

A nice local hike, walking from one end of the ridges to the other. Great views of Nanaimo, Protection Island, Departure Bay & on a clear day, across to Vancouver.

The trail meanders along the tops of these little knolls between Nanaimo & Mt. Benson:

thanks, would have been a perfect shot if it wasn't for that little lens flare. (maybe I should photoshop it out? :p )

Yeah, that first one looks like a painting. The last one is more Picture of the Month-ie though.

heh.... I think I will frame all my pictures with black from now on.. seems to give the picture better appeal.

First one is three exposures layered carefully into one shot - (google: HDR photography) - it's a great technique that can make impossible shots happen.
