View Full Version : Lifting a 92 1ton diesel

Whats up with the lack of lift kits for oldr diesels? None of the usual companies offer lift kits for this truck...only for its little half ton brother. I know the motor weighs 13,500,123 lbs. but still why doesn't anyone sell a lift kit? Any cheap alternatives to suspension lift this truck with out going to custom springs... lookin for about 6 inches. HAELP!

Go with the skyjacker soft ride 6" kit, it's the best on the market they say and it actually makes your rig flex & ride alot nicer....$1700 ish at NSOR.Or you can hit ramcharger central and down load the plans for a shackle kit and have a welder/fab make it for ya...gives ya 4". My truck runs 36"'s with just a set of adda leafs in it...goin to 38's with my shackle kit this month.

i know trail master used too make a 4inch lift for them...and the skyjacker are nice but it will sag a couple inches in the front within a year or two..
