That looks so much like my old Dodge it's not even funny, paint it brown and it's a clone. Except that it had a 318, that thing must be one hell of a gutless wonder.

i still havent got it running good yet so i donot know but yeah i amagin it will be a gut less beast but the only reason its staying if for the fuel econimy how bad was you 318 on gas
I got one in my driveway right now and it is moderate on power and horid on gas.

haha yeah i thought so that why i think im gona stick with the slant 6 i was looking on the net and looks like you can get some pretty good power out of them for what they are but sould be a fun little truck if i ever get it running right

I have a shortbox almost same with 318 4 speed manual, and a ramcharger with 318 fourspeed manual. Both are 85's and both get around 18 mpg. I actually went out wheelin last month in the ramcharger wheeled all day, dove highway home runnin 35's and still got 18. I love 318's. No shortage of power there at all.
I used to have a 360 auto combo in another truck, would get 8 mpg no matter what i was doing. The 318 feels like it has more power, its just cause of the 4 speed but still, id never switch in a 360.

My 318 wasn't too bad on gas, $20 got me to Stave and back, including some hearty pedal-mashed mud flinging.

But your dodge has toyota frame material used for the doors. I would shorten those shackles though.
