Don't know for sure bout the exploder, but to get out the pedalass. from my 90 f I pulled thewhole dash out. Made lif so much easier, and not very hard either.

dont pull it all apart you can just pull the e clip off of the rod that goes through for the break pedal and pull the whole thing out it is one peice with the cluch pedal. thn you can take the brake pedal too. it is hard to explain but you will figure it out when you look. the clip is on the gas pedal side of the aluminum bracket.

any more questions ask i did this swap last year

it will go just beat it out iof there
before you try to install grind the lip off where the rod goes into the pedal and unbolt you e brake unit

if it is a posi the axle code on the door will be a letter and a number. open diff will be two numbers

Lift it into the air, with tranny in park, try and rotate one tire. Get a feel for the resistance. Check with the other one. It's not a very scientific method, but if it's stiff and resistant at all, it's pobably a possi.

Your point about all the crap in the way is why I pulled the dash. Much easier. There will be a couple pluggs on either side, one main one at the firewall, a few cables for the air and a bunch of bolts. If your swapin out trannys, this will be easy. Will also make it easier to put in the master cylinder as well.

nope, im gonna pospone the work untill next weekend, i got both steering colums out and ready to swap, i got the clutch pedal out but not back in the other one, im gonna wait till i have a torch so i can just cut bolts off instead of wasting a half hour per bolt trying to get them undone because the donor truck is a tiny bit rusty while mine the bolts all come off without a hitch. also next week im gonna set up something i can push the donor truck up onto with the atv to get it raised up alot higher for ease of working on

thats a whole lot of work you dont need to do
i did the complete swap in 8 hours.
pulling trans and all needed parts from parts truck
pulling out old poopy a4ld
putting 5 speed and all needed parts for the swap including wiring nutral safety and revurse lights
test drive
make sure you take the spacer off the back of the crank once you remove the auto ring gear or the fly wheel will be to far into the trans and wont work

just kinda curious what all is involved in that... so i have a bit of a heads up... and do i have to modify the wireing harness at all?
