The transfercase is a 203,the second stick is for a gear reduction box(2:1) found this on an old powerwagon website. So basically you can split your crawl ratio by 2 essentially giving yourself 3 extra forward gears in 4wd according to the website. It can also be mated to a 205.

does it have an extra gearbox? All standard 203's have a gear reduction box in front of them, but they only have one stick, and it hooks up to a rotary control. Take some pix of it and we'll know for sure.
