youngun
01-09-2007, 04:46 PM
on a heavy dodge they will get poor mileage on the street, i read a review and a guy had em on his full size dodge and only got 7,000 outta them on the street

get stuck

i was thinkin of getting a set think they would be any good on a 1982 dodge 1/2 ton short box or whould it be to heavy

I am noticing that they are wearing pretty fast. I definately wouldnt run them on a Daily Driver. For one thing they are a soft tire plus the fact that theyre bias ply they heat up and wear that much faster.
For a weekend wheeler I wouldnt hesitate to buy them again i still got my fingers crossed that they'll make em in a 35 or 36 by the time I wanna upsize

yeah this truck would be a daily driver

Well I'm getting a set of 31x11.5x15 for my Toy until I smarten up and do the drivetrain work that the truck needs in order to turn the 34" version. Got the tires on order right now so we'll see how they work. I've also heard that the LTB's are super soft compound that are pretty much best suited to off road driving. My truck gets almost no on road driving so I'm curious to see how much they will wear until I've done the work necessary to turn the 34s. Just to let people know I'm payin $173 per tire

I ran a set of 31s on a CJ for a while... Red Deer - Langley - K-loops - Langley - Red Deer, and around town. Wore amazingly well for what I had thought. If you overinflate them, kiss the middles goodbye, but mine were good. I have seen a few get toasted. 3 oil changes, and I noticed MINIMAL wear. I got them used, and most of the top ledge on the blocks were still there when I was done. They work GREAT off road... everytime I got p-oed with the noise and flatspotting, I'd do a little wheeling, and everything was forgiven for a while. I want a set of 34s BAD, but gonna go radials this time.

what do you guys think would be better on the street as far as tire wear goes...44 boggers? or these 47 TSL LTB's because when it comes time to buy tires for my truck i want something that i can drive around town and not have to worry about rapid tire wear...fishtails and burnouts included lol

It's the cops that can kiss me pimple covered hairry ass. I'll run my 44's and have their pretty little sticker in my window and if they don't like it they can go circle jerk the fillings out of their crusty timbits. uck the cops in this town are fuckin useless asswipes. Fuck'em'all.

The ltbs will outperform a bogger about 7-1 and there like a smarter model of the traditional tsl with the iroks center lug and work great any thing thats not a bogger would be the choice for wearing but id recomend the 49's for a driver.
