when my 22re is half warmed up or has had some time to cool it has trouble starting, it runs like a dream, it starts cold like its new. But if i let the truck sit for 20min it sux to start it.

Does the cold start sensor work off the normal temp sensor? i'm pretty sure the sensor is broken as it says the truck is warmed up after 2min of idling, which might point to the problem

check the temp sensor, and the temp sensor switch. The switch is usually the prob. Had the same on my 85 22RE, and a friend of mine with an 85 22RE runner had same issue. start there
