You should be able to run lower air pressure with the 8"

I know I am not a tire guy and will probably get a couple of [16] from those that are but I ran my 35x16.00 boggers on an 8 in rim no real adverse handling effects and I aired down regularly to 6-8 psi in a 4700 pd truck. The only thing you get is some good crowning of the tire which causes them to wear out the center tread prematurely

Running 35-16-15 boggers on 15x10 so it seems it would be the same differance. Heard that a wider rim is easier to break beads on when aired down.

you should be able to air down to less than 5 in the rear and 6-9 in the front with no problems
