Here are our pics from New years day up at Stave. Mini was being lazy and decided not to insure his truck so we ended up taking our focus up and walking around everywhere. It was a good plan until our boots starting sticking in the mud  . Thanks to everyone for the trees for the fire, it kept us very warm. All in all it was a great day, awesome food and great company [cheers] Just one flaw: even though the tag on your jacket says waterproof, never believe it [16] . Note to self: need new jacket!!

Hey, if you have a waterproof jacket that isn't naturally waterproof (IE, rubber/plastic VS a breathable fabric that has been coated) you can't wash it with normal detergent - It strips the coating off. However, there are two products that you will be interested in:

http://www.basegear.com/nikwax-softshell-proof.html
and
http://www.basegear.com/nikwax-tech-wash.html

First one is for RE-waterproofing your damaged jacket, second is for washing it in the future and not stripping the waterproofing off. You can use that on tents and gloves and stuff too.

You can get these items at Sport Chek or wherever.
