Stave, Saturday Dec. 30th. I went up to just do some mild testing, nothing hardcore. Managed to get stuck and fuck up my brakes anyways...I drove all the way back into Abby in the dark with brakes on one wheel. When I got stuck, I managed to rip the right front brake line in half, tearing the line bracket off the frame and twisting it like a pretzel. The back brakes had an issue too, but I have no idea what at this point. I bled the system through with water and crimped off the broken brake line with vise grips. Then we routed it in front of the hood so I could see if it started leaking while driving. It was quite a ride, half the time I hit the brakes I was in the other lane and that was in spite of fighting the wheel like a madman. As far as actually wheeling it went, it did okay, aside from getting stuck. I was smart enough not to keep digging it in, and my cousin was able to pull me out with his stock Chev pickup. Steering this thing in 4wd is a complete bitch, thanks to the front being welded. Anyways, I know this thread is worthless without pics, so here are a couple that my buddy took.

Before any real wheeling:

Some wheeling. The pics are too small to really see the mud flying, and most of the pics are after I got out of the mud rather than in it.

And then I got stuck...that stuff was surprisingly soupy once you got down a little ways.

And that's it, for now.

Some guys in some YJ's came and played in there once I got out, they had straps and a winch but no common sense. One of the idiots figured he could take my ruts no problem, only issue being his tires were a good 4" too small and he was significantly lacking chassis clearance. Oops. Took them a while to get it out, even with the winch. My cousin felt sorry for them though, so he took his truck over to use as a winch anchor, since the other little Barbie Jeep was too light.

:( Dang, I was looking for big trucks mainly, and FIBC stickers. I must've missed yours. I knew there were supposed to be FIBC folks up there, I just didn't know who was who!

Waggy thanks dude! Yeah this thing's a Cherokee, apparently the only difference between Wagoneers and Cherokees back in the day were 2 doors. I wouldn't mind the extra room, the shorter wheelbase could come in handy except the welded front makes turning it in a short space pretty much impossible anyways.

It's actually a Cherokee. Lift is roughly 6", maybe a bit less. Oh, and I got it with the welded front...gonna make trails a little difficult I think.

Here's the new grille ornament...

That's funny, I could swear you were crying about all the work your Ferd needed and how it was all broken and it wouldn't be going up to Stave any year soon...

Mike, I'm gonna get it detailed. In and out.
