i have read tones and tones of pages on how to do my sas but i have found nothing on a 9'' being swaped in for the 8.8 has anyone done it be4 and how easy is it i have a 6 '' lift im putting in with it anyone have pics or anything ?

I dont know about the 79 and later perch spacing, but the early 80s units will bolt in. I think there is a complication due to the fact the 9" doesnt have a provision for the VSS to run the speedo in some applications.

Yeah, the 9" doesn't have a VSS, because the older broncos used a speedo gear on the transfercase, IIRC. (I should remember, I replaced it a month ago.)

Getting one from an 80-82 bronco is the best bet for spring perches. If all else fails, check out fullsizebronco.com and make sure to search first.

you don't have to switch the rear, just make sure your gears match and go for it.

I have swaped both in mine. No problem! bolts right in.

thanx i forgot to put that the bronco that is getting the sas is a 91 and the sfa is out of a 78 bronco
