Will a GM Alt. fit on a 82 22r motor?

depends what year 22R and 22RE alternator you got 84 and older alts. are externally regulated and the newer ones are internally regulated so if you got the old style you would have to change the wiring.

I just got in a powermaster one wire 100A alt. that i am gonna put in i mocked it up when I was rebuilding my engine and it should be a very easy swap plus there will only be one wire for the charging system

you will have to make your own brackets. i had a 70A one in my old 82 and workd great.
