View Full Version : J-10 Running gear in a YJ
Looking at getting a front D44 from a 1981 J-10 anyone know of any pros or cons to doing this convertion into a YJ?

I think the first problem u will run into is the WMS of a J truck is usually alot wider then guys with YJ want...make sure u check it well....

i think you are for sure goona have to do some relocating ie shock mounts and prolly custome steer parts and does it not have a d70 or a d 20 for the rear
allso the gears are gonna suck ass

Well it didn't pan out. Turns out the ad was wrong and the D44 was a driver side drop and the D300 turned out to be a NP208. So next time. As for the gears, I know I would have to change them. The width was 61" so that made it a narrow track, what I want for the YJ. Rear was a Corp 20.
