im lookin at a 91 ranger for 500 bucks with all new body parts n box but its been sitting in a garage for 5 years... n needs to be reassembled(all the body parts n interior)... i was just wondering of what i would have to really check / change on it if its been sitting for so many years to make it run?
ima total noob around engines cuz im still a youngin :rolleyes:

but is there anything that would seize up over time... or anything like that ...
and if not ... ill probably buy it this weekend :)

well hopefully it runs so i can buy it and go muddin soon... no 4x4'n for couple months makes me go crazy [27] [27]
i tried taken a civic muddin n first couple feet it got stuck

the best thing to do would be to drain the oil and add new stuff, pull the plugs and squirt a couple drops of oil in each cylinder, crank the engine over a few times by hand with a ratchet on the nut on the balancer. That will do 2 things, 1-it will free any posiibly stuck rings, and 2-it will prime the oiling system to avoid a hard dry start. Put new plugs in gapped right and fire it up, some new gasoline might help too.
