Talk to one of the guys around there that have done it, Taxi. I think they use PVC pipe for the intake if that is what you want to do.

exhaust or intake?

If its intake like a snorkel, PVC can be used.

If its exhaust and you're going to do a stack style exhaust like a big rig, i'd use some 3'' diameter tubing and keep it away from the a pillar by about 2 inches and use some little pieces to support it and anchor it down.

wont 3'' be to big

to big = loss in power

for a v6? y-piped exhaust yeah... but im sure he's doing it for looks and no function and 3'' would look better.

Haha, stacks are so gay - I've seen too many trucks driving around lately with stacks. It's a fad like side dumps - soon they will realize that it is noisy as hell and want to get rid of it.

The only possible use would be if you were doing some snorkeling and didn't want all that water backpressure.

Rigs have them for a reason. School buses are also big trucks, they don't have stacks.

I love how everyone does things just because they LOOK good. Putting stacks on your pickup is like putting a 4 foot wing on your Honda.

the people that keep their trucks all normal or "sleeper" looking are just to scared to do radical changes to their rigs because they are worried what other people may think...who cares if it looks wicked than get er done and do it, and until you get pulled over for a vehicle inspection then go for it

Yeah. I agree, put on what you like and make it how you want it to be.

But, in my opinion, stacks are silly. They would, however, make your departure angle better - no more squished exhaust pipes: assuming yours go straight out the back that is.

The only trucks that should have stacks ( and i agree they look good ) are diesels, just stupid to put them on a gas engine.
