It looks good just the way it is.

I'd park it on the front lawn and leave it [redneck]

The previous owner might have cleared the snow off, but that would have cost extra. And we all know how tight you are. :-)

Mazda makes the Rotery, which I thought was a pretty smokin little truck. How bout slapping in a big Harly V-Twin under the hood? Seen a flat fender that had a Honda Goldwing motor in it! could ya imagine that passing you at 12,000 RPM's?!![15]

It would make a screamer with a SBC and stuff, but then i fugred why not stuff a toy diesel in there and have a stupidely fuck efficient parts runner?

And when you were dont with it, could just stuff it in your back pocket until you need it.

The Hilux has only had 2 owners before me. I worked with them both and know for sure that it has the original stock 1800R motor. Not much power, but back then Toyota thought we in N.A. wanted the same kind of truck they used. They soon fould out that we wanted something that would do highway speeds. Thank God.:D

damb .. thats true , I stand corrected 20r was in /78-/80 .. 18RC engine , double chains. very expencive motor to build .

I just double checked the truck as Joe hasn't picked it up yet. Someone mentioned no tail lights. They are there, but hartd to see. They are above the bumper ( just ) on each side, below the tail gate. Guess I should have given Joe a higher res pic, but it just takes so long on dialup.

...

you do realize its just a 5 digit odo, so its probably rolled over a few times at least:p

That would be a sweet as a 4x4[36] considering they never made a 4x4 int hat body style. custom 2wd daily driver would be pretty cool too. Those motors used to be very comon to build up. Alot of celica guys used the for racing i beleive

Nice score joe whatever you decide to do with it:cool:

The OD reading is right. Joe knows the truck, and the guy who bought it new was blind in one eye. He only used it to go fishing a few times a year. The next owner had it for about 18 months and put about 2000 miles on it. Then me. The OD died at 40 thou, but I put around 3 to 4 thou more before I parked it.:)

Ya Ern, I dunno what to do with it yet..it would make a cool 4x4 tho, kinda leaning that way. I got some Toy stuff. :D
