i have an 88 pathfinder.i was wondering how many liters the gas tank is.its a 2 door 3 liter auto.the fuel and temp gauges don't work and i only get about 350 to 400 k to a 60 dollar fill up.i know my mileage won't be that good seeing as it has 4" suspension,3" body and 35's.but i don't want to run it empty,so if i know how many liters maybe i can go a little further between fill ups.thanks...!!

the most i have gone between fill ups was 378 k and it was about 57 liters .if it was a 60 liter tank then i know that is about as close as i want to be.

Common prob if your temp and fuel guage don't work is a resistor
behind your cluster that operates both of those.

Nissan part # 24866-54A00 $35.48

Not saying your sender isn't hooped but that's where I'd start.

1 minute + google + pathfinder fuel tank = ta-da [f]

The only engine available in the 1989 Pathfinder was a V6 that provided 140 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 166 pound-feet of torque at 4400 rpm. Switching to multipoint fuel injection in 1990 helped boost both horsepower and torque. Revising the fuel delivery resulted in new ratings of 153 horsepower at 4800 rpm and 180 pound-feet of torque at 4000 rpm.

Our 94 with the auto and the 3L six is around 70 Litres. We get around 500K with a full tank and a load(To the Yukon and back) and thats on a 31/10.50/15 tire. I also adjusted the timing for more low end torque which helped a bit. I saw one with a 350 Chev, TH350 and stock transfer case.....was pretty cool![cheers]

thanks again norm.got the resistor, cost me exactly what you said, put it in and they both work.funny how it doesn't matter how much you know or learn, there is always someone who has run into the same problem and can make life that much easier.now that that is fixed it is too bad the truck just all of a sudden started to run like a sack of shit.o well ,just another fix to start lookin into for tomorrow.IT NEVER ENDS.thanks...
