hey i just bought an 88 samurai and i want to put some bigger tires on it......it has a 4 inch lift. At first i was thinking about getting 29x10.5 on a 15x8 inch rim.......super swamper tsl/sx........but then i was thinking bout going alittle bit bigger to get a 31x13.5 on a 15x10 inch rim, still the super swamper sx's. but i would probabyl need to get wheel spacers and offset rims?.....would i run into many problems other then gearing if i got the 31's........any info on if this is a good idea or anyone got some addvice for a better idea will be appreciated ......thx for the help.kyle[cheers]
if its got a 4inch lift 31s no problem but u can fit 33s if u do a soas and thaty would be sweet

I have put 33's on one with no lift, and no rubbing on the street. Had to do some trimming and some bashing with a bfh, but once done it looked good.I then put a home grown 3" lift in it, it doesn't have any flex, but looks like a hot wheels.

13.5's will rub like a bitch when turning, just get a 31 11.5 or 32 11.5

The 33's did'nt rub at stock hight whe I was done.

no but a 33 13.5 wide tire will rub like crazy, my 11.5's rubbed at just a little before full turn on my old sammi, so 13.5;s would probably rub at 3/4 turn or a little less

try some 30x9.5's I know a little small but hey if you still have stock gearing you can still turn the tire's the best part is no rubbing at all. Also have some decent off road gearing as well.
