Has anyone ever put a 302 H/O mustang engine in a yj? If so how much work is it to drop in. I got a 302 for free and was thinking about putting it in my jeep but i need to know if anything will workout. Does the engine even mount in the same place? If it will be alot of work for some one with not alot of skill would it be lots of money for a shop to do it?

there are lots to consider, i would like to drop a 350 in my YJ and the basic things to consider are the same. new motor mounts need to be fabbed, you need a different transmission, and possibly t case, or a $400+ adapter from novak or advanced adapters. there will be a substantial amount of wiring to be done for teh EFI motors, carbed 302 will be simpler. here is a link i found from a google search http://www.zandm.com/
