I've got an opportunity to get a 24v cummins with complete engine harness. I've bin told that the electronics on it are a bitch. I'm looking for for a 12v engine but haven't had too much luck finding one that doesn't want buth my nuts in a vice, one I could live with, just not both.

there are only 4 or five wires that need to be conected once the computer and engine harness are in.

There are several sites dedicated to repowering fords and chevs with dodge cummins. Can't be completely nuts.

90% of those re-powering ones are the 1st gen engines w/ the VE rotary pump or the awesome 2nd gens with the p7100 inline pump. In 99 they introduced the VP44 injection pump, which wasent the best for performance but for stock applications it was good.

I'm sure its possible, but is it worth the time/money? THeres something to be said for simplicity, and thats the price.

Those rotary pump ones can go pretty good. Any mods planned or keep it stock?

what vehicle is this going into? I think the chev is a better choice for the cummins, fords should have to live with their powerjoke. wicked trade for the cummins used up left nut and you get to grow your own set of boobs

cummins is goin into a ford flatdeck. My dad just got a 12v with an inline pump from a 96. That one is going into his 92 after a quick refresh. Mine is stayin stock. I'm stuck with a getrag tranny for now, so I don't need the power. Now after finding a nv4500, I'll probably swap in the inline pump and go hard. Considering I'm workin on a deal now to get a set of rockwell 5 ton axles, I don't think they will be bothered with the extra power.

Not for sale. It'll be a spare for both of us.
