Basicly Stock spring, maybe alittle more lift to but not going extreme, if you use cheve springs though what sort of modifications do you have to do??

I bought one's from North Shore Off Road last year for my 95 4Runner which gave me a 2 inch lift in the back. I just put a 4 inch lift in my truck a few weeks back so you could have them for $50 bucks if you want. This is a picture just after I put them in. Used them for about a year so might be a little lower now. PM me if your interested.

I'd be up for that, now you bought New cheve springs or Toyota Springs??, and I guess if I did that who'd I have to buy beer for to help get my spring hangers moved [cheers] [31]

although maybe I should actually do the headgasket First and get the thing running :D but what ever

don't forget with the chevy conversion you also have to build or buy new rear shackles to adapt the 3" spring to the 2.5" hanger

Okay okay So lets recap here. Cheve conversion, Need to adapt the hangers for a wider Bushing wich is no big deal, Can you buy conversion hangers? or who else has manged to make these?,

Now length of the actualy spring is Still longer then toyota right?? so I"m still going to have to move the front hanger?? or with the mondified the shackles at the back is it going to matter??

Oh yea HigwayStar thats was a wicked truck one of the guys I 4x4 with in k-town,

not to interupt your guys' rant [f] lol
but I run cevy s10 leafs in the rear and I think they are great, the mods weren't to hard, just made bigger shackles and made new hangers for the front

toyota_dan

i just put chevy ZR2 s10 springs in the rear of my pickup i did no modifications besides a u-bolt flip and drilling 2 holes in 4 peices of flat bar for shackles. it matches my front 4 inch lift quite nicely, slight rake. there seems to be alot of contradiction in this post....my chevy's are 2 1/2 inches wide not including the bushings, i also just measured.

64" chevy rear spring requires relocating a new hanger forward on the frame. you also need to either move the rear shackle hanger backwards, or make a longer shackle. stay away from the double shackle setup found on Pirate.

Sky manufacturing makes a kit for the chevys. $120 US
