View Full Version : New Jeep on the Block

Well this my first post on this forum and I just wanted to tell everyone that I just bought a new Jeep.

I got a '93 Cherokee Country edition, its pretty much bone stock right now but it has the 4.0L HO and its a 5spd so I think I have a good starter vehicle.

I now have all winter to lift it and get it ready for the trail next year!

So a few questions have come up.
1. I am looking at buying a Rubicon Express 6200 lift, is this a good desicion or is there something else I should be looking into?
2. I plan on putting 33s on it. Will the axles be big enough for these tires?
3. Should I put chromoly shafts in it right away?

That should be enough for now.

Hope to be out there soon!

The Rubicon Express stuff is some of the best Jeep lifts on the market so it is definately not a mistake to buy one.

As far as the axles go they will hold up to some mild abuse with 33s on them but do not waste any money putting lockers or gears in the Dana 30 and 35 axles they are not strong and never will be strong so if you want to lock em or do some hard wheelin save your money and do some axle swaps
