the pump is made by Cardone p#20-6244
I ordered it through Lordco which I do not recommend as I guess they do not deal with Cardone, pricing was very steep

bolted up with no issues
I spun the pump by hand a few times before putting the belt on to try and get some fluid in the pump to aid bleeding
didn't feel like it did anything but it was working at the first turn of the key so maybe it did ???

Cool, looks like you just need the adaptor and you can get a saginaw pump for cheep.

different shaft length, could be worked around
I paid about $200, I have seen an American post that his shops cost is about $55usd
so if you have a good account at a parts house that deals with Cardone (no idea if there is anyone local) you should be able to get them for about $70.
the first in always gets soaked, this time I took one for the team :)

Ford used the same mounting pattern for PS pumps for years
it will fit pretty much anything

Lordco buys directly from cardone but did you give them a core back?? thats an extra 50.00 there and I can tell ya that our cost is quite a bit more then 70.00$

I did get a $50 core refund, that is still extremely lousy pricing for the discount the account I use has.

So how is the steering - any better with the new pump? Does it whine at all like the stock pumps?

doesn't whine
steering works better at low rpm but that could just be my Ford pump was really old
a real test would require comparing a rebuilt stocker.

no real complaints or praise here
the return line ends up too close to the oil filter. I can see a future cut knuckle from the too large wormdrive clamp during an oil filter change.

I am contemplating full hydro steering when the d60f goes in, hoping this pump with WMS mods will work for me.
