[27] tried to do a good deed the other day and change the tensioner on my old ladies mini van and now it won't start. changed the coil , modual , distributor, comp, and checked for fuel. i'm getting lots of fuel right up to throttle body but it still won't start unless i dump fuel straight down the throttle body.

[27] anybody got any other ideas

got spark?

9 times out of 10 says you forgot to connect up a sensor or vacuum line you disconected or bumped.

hooked up everything and it runs but only if i dump fuel down the throttle body. so it's a fuel prob fer sure and not a spark prob

Check to see if the ground wire for the computer has not broken off at the t stat housing. Is fuel spraying out of the injectors?

[iagree] the comp. fires the injectors just like a coil, power on one side and the ecm grounds the other to fire it, there is a bunch of grounds on the thermostat that are easy to break off,

I've not run into one that won't run when it has a bad tps, chech for power to the injetors with a test light, if you have power it may be a computer.

:o finally found the problem. didn't know till now but there is a seperrate fuse for the injectors, insulator rubbed trough at the throttle body shorted out and blew the fuse. very small hole in the wire , i missed it a few timesand never looked close enough at the fuse box. ecm fuse was goodand didn't notice the other basstard till now. but i found it and i can work on getting the van back on the road[31]
