hey i was wondering if a toyota v6 tranny would bolt up to a 22re? would i have to change the bell houseing?

also the new rz series motors are not compatable with the v6 stuff but can be swaped with a bell housing change tto the older 4clder trannies but not the 6 es

If you get the bellhousing from a (22RET) R151F transmission, and mate it to a early R150F 3.0L V6 Tranny (I believe 88-95) then yes it all bolts together.

Later R150F 3.4L V6 trannys (96+ found in taco's, 4Runners, and T100's) have a longer inputshaft and wont work.

Also as a side note: All R150F's came with a chain driven tcase. And regular gear driven tcases cant directly bolt up to it. There are adapter plate available. However if you can find the tail housing from an R151F it can be swapped with the tail housing of your R150F, thus making it possible to bolt up a gear driven tcase.

LOL but if you ask me, just get urself the R151F. Low 1st gear ratio, and interally (other than the gearing) is the exact same transmission as the R150F.

well i got a v6 tranny out of an 88 4runner if anyone is interested

with transfercase and clutch just did the clutch in november of last year
