I want to have a snorkel on my yj but hate the price of a new one.....A buddy of mine got a intake from a fork lift.....has the cone top with the flexable water proof sock hose....what do all you think of this...should work ah...I will post a pic later if you guys have never seen one

if you run a cone filter exposed on top it get destroyed quickly also there is way more to water proofing than a chezee snorkle and generaly if your in deep enough to need one you have other shit to worry about

its not a cone filter on top,its just a umbrella type lid with a flex hose that runs down.....I want one b/c when I hit water the water breaks right on my headlight where the intake is...I will post a pic in a few min

does anyone have a good idea on the best way to secure this snorkel to the outside "A" pillar of my jeep.....seems to me that if it mounted to high then I will not be able to remove the hard top...Should I use the flexable hose at the top or should i take it to an exhaust shop to have a pipe bent to fit???

looks good, you could prob mount it to the windshield bracket or else directly to the windshield frame, not too much there to work with really
